It was great using all that I have learned to complete a project and take the Meta exam. For the Meta exam, I did use some of what I learned with the Coursera course, but I mostly used the Meta exam material to study. As for the capstone, I enjoyed using Call and Ivy as the business for the project, just wished there was more time to navigate Google Ads Manager and Analytics.

Registering for the exams now is different from the past. You no longer need to receive a voucher code to apply a full discount when you register for your exam. Instead, now you just register for your exam timeslot on the given exam portal. There is no payment or voucher code involved.

The content is great, but the registration and completion of the certificate through Coursera seems awkward. It might be better to sign up directly with Meta. There are requirements for taking test that they don't tell you upfront, and if you aren;t able to have that situation then you take all the classes and can't complete it. If I had to do it again I would take the courses before signing up, and investigate before enrolling in the certificate.

The capstone project was ridiculous. I thought we had to actually use Facebook or Instagram to create something, not mimic something in a PowerPoint file. Not only this but all peer-graded assignments should be completely changed and supervised or eliminated from courses! The Meta Digital Marketing Associate exam is a completely different story from these courses. If you'd like to pass that exam, go to the Meta Blueprint site and read and learn all the online courses, or use the 100+ page study guide pdf. Make sure you try and pass all 4 practice exams and use the Aptly study app on your phone. You will need the correct answers to pass the final exam! The Meta DMA exam was terrible. You have to use Google Chrome because of the Honorlock extension, plus you have to install it on your computer. During the exam, I had to restart my computer 5-6 times because the Honorlock did something to my PC and I had to reconnect every time. So I didn't have 90 minutes for the exam, only around 30 minutes or less. Luckily the proctor was nice and huge thanks to her. But the whole exam experience was awful. I had other problems during the courses as well but this was the worst of all.

I don’t like the idea of linking my Facebook account and Coursera account with the same email. The process of creating a Facebook account isn’t as smooth as it used to be. On top of that, the 'certification exam' is incredibly stressful and exhausting. If I had known this type of exam existed in the previous course, I wouldn’t have enrolled in this course in the first place. What a waste of time! After all these years of studying the earlier courses, I can’t even get a regular Coursera certificate (let alone a professional one). Not recommended.
