No explanation on the purpose of the codes, and what they are doing. Just repeat instructions, create stuff, explore concepts that wasn't told in any of the other classes (Like BPI), felt like a speedrun of content

Most of the course is downloading random mixamo animations. No real learning took place in this course. There is so much needless repetition, even beyond "practice makes perfect". It was a tedious module that didn't teach me anything. There are parts where we could learn some things, like how we could combine animations and make sure that animations don't play when other animations are playing (in the animation graph) but instead of explaining logic, or how things work, once again we were asked to just copy what the instructor did, with little to no explanation. I have half a mind to just post my animations folder online so people don't have to slog through this course. I'm sorry I come on so negative, but I came here to actually learn some things, and instead I got to copy stuff. If it wasn't for the certificate, my time would be much better spend on youtube learning about animations.

After completing the full eight-course Epic Games Game Design program, my overall impression is largely negative. Much of the material is outdated, so only about half of the instruction is directly usable, with the rest requiring heavy reliance on YouTube tutorials and independent research. The pacing across courses is inconsistent and often chaotic, and the suggested timelines for final projects are unrealistic. Quizzes are either overly simple or rely on extremely precise spelling and terminology, which pushes students to consult discussion boards where answers are commonly shared. Grading is handled entirely by AI and peer review, with no meaningful instructor involvement beyond copied discussion prompts. The latter half of the program is particularly frustrating. Core implementation and system design are delayed until the final course, and even then they are taught using older versions of Unreal Engine, causing frequent mismatches and confusion. Animation examples are often buggy, with little to no guidance on refinement, and several videos are poorly edited, sometimes cutting out critical steps entirely. The peer review process also loses credibility as more submissions rely on AI-generated images or videos, which diminishes the value of genuine effort. While I did gain some basic understanding of user experience concepts and general familiarity with Unreal Engine, most real learning came from external sources. I cannot recommend this course and strongly suggest investing in a more current program with active instruction and support.

The explanation of the material is very in-depth, and the instructor is a very professional person in his field. I hope that by studying this course it can make it easier to find my career in the field of game development

The teachers are good but since Epic moved everything to fab some assets are not available anymore

Der Kurs ist recht unübersichtlich und die präsentierten Informationen sind sehr wenige für die menge an Video Material. Ich empfand den Kurs als recht frustrierend und nervig.

The information provided is nice, but I have to say that the repetition is horrifying. Also the coding parts look a lot like prototyping without best practice.

This was by far the worst course so far. While the female instructor attempted to make the lessons interesting, the male instructor was really hard to pay attention to. The content of this course was not well taught with many things were either rushed or we spend way too much time on. The final project directions were not clear and was hard to accomplish due to the lack of direction.

The course was ok on its own as of whats taught, but the instructors were wayyyyy too fast to keep up with, causing constant pausing and rewinding, and missed steps.

The previous sections of the course were really well explained and you learnt something, this here is completely different to the previous ones... The videos were edited and parts were played at a higher speed, while a voice over was simply added over them. In some cases, some things were simply skipped due to the editing and only by searching and using the forum here was I able to add what was missing. In some cases, I had to look for a YouTube video where it was explained better. I always thought it was nice in all the others before and I enjoyed it, but here... Sorry, but that's not okay.
