Very engaging course from the management consulting specialization. Although this course provides very insightful and valuable information, I wouldn't say it is completely focused on "getting a consulting job". It is more focused on advice, best practices, tips and tricks once that you've made it into a consulting firm as a new hire. However, strongly recommended for those who want to start into the consulting world.

Great course if you're looking for a consulting job. For someone not looking for a consultancy job, it was informative to learn what it takes and what to look out for in terms of skills and competences. I would like to have more information about being on the other side of the table (me hiring consultants).

Leverage - a concept which is so useful and less known is explained by Kim amazingly. This course gives a deep insight on the real consulting work and its ecosystem, e.g. how do consulting firms creates leverage with their diverse workforce, why simple tasks like status reports & meeting minutes are extremely important, pre-wiring the final meetings (don't' do meeting during meeting), getting smart quickly, why networking is backbone of consulting and finally what consulting firms looks into candidates during interviews and how to crack the case interviews. These are so clearly, simply and with fun explained that its next to impossible top forget these learnings. The real world examples, real big 3 and big 4 consulting firms processes of recruitment and interviews with direct link for original source are the diamonds we get free. I specially liked the module 4 where networking, resumes and LinkedIn profiles framework are discussed. The PAR (Problem Action Result) framework for resume or LinkedIn profile really made me come to understanding why my profile even after almost 2 decades of experience is not attractive for recruiters. I strongly recommend this course for everyone who wants to learn consulting skills as well as just networking and getting best learning on what exactly interviewers look into candidates. I believe that most of it is true even for any kind or any industry interview not just consulting. Thank you John for creating this highly effective course. We may never met or see each other however you are making an impact for thousands or millions of people like me.

Great work, thank you for making the topic lively and fun. As an MBA, we were always told that consultants have to be overly serious because consulting is serious business. Though that may be true I enjoy your approach of keeping things light hearted and informative.
