Because this is an "Introduction" I wouldn't expect the phrase "you should already have some programming experience" to be used during the course. I "learned" of course, but man it was a struggle. It may be just my learning style, but I feel like the Ajax portion was rushed so it was hard to follow at times.

The first module of this course is great, the second module of this course not so much, on the last section of the second module, there is a gap of information/steps that isn't provided in order for us to follow along on our own (setting up and using firebase, for example). I like to follow along and write the code on my end so to see these steps get completely skipped was really disappointing

Great course! If I had studied more "basic JS syntax" before I started, I would have enjoyed it more.

Good introductory course, although previous coding experience will help you a lot at certain points.

The real-workd projects were invaluable for translating concepts into real-world applications

Course is pretty outdated. The start is good, but it falls off later. There is too much videos compared to assignments

Not beginner friendly

This instructor uses peer grading and since 95 percent of students do not understand the assignment content, 95 percent of students are just submitting links that do not go to the course content for submission. Instructor does not teach the skills to be successful in this class. You will have to teach yourself. I graded over 85 peer assignments for the final peer assignment in the last class and not one of them had a properly designed working webpage and approximately 95 percent did not even have an assignment link that went to a viewable page or course assignment content - The content to be graded. You will waste incredible amounts of time teaching yourself and will wait even longer to have your submitted assignments graded. By far the worst class I have ever taken on Coursera. Instructor should have a module on github, but doesn't so most of his students fail from his lack of teaching the essential skill set to complete the class. I would give zero stars if it were possible. Save yourself the agony and avoid this class. I am still waiting for my last assignment to be graded and that was submitted almost a week ago.
