Thinking about project management as a career? Or maybe you’ve just been asked to manage a project and need a quick crash course. This beginner-friendly class is your launchpad.
In just a few weeks, you’ll learn the basics of project management through a real-world Agile scenario. You’ll create professional-grade artifacts—a project charter, work breakdown structure (WBS), and project roadmap—that you can add to your portfolio and showcase on your resume.
Along the way, you’ll sharpen essential soft skills like leadership, communication, and problem-solving. Learn how to manage stakeholders, navigate team dynamics, and tackle challenges with confidence. You’ll see how projects come to life, from kickoff to delivery, and gain practical tools and techniques that you can apply right away.
Whether you’re exploring project management as a new career or just want to be a stronger team player, this course will give you the confidence to stand out. Take the first step toward a more organized, impactful, and successful future—you’ll thank yourself later.
Before you can confidently step into the role of a project manager, you need to understand what the job actually entails. Module 1 is all about exploration—exploring what a project manager does, assessing your own strengths, and seeing how this role fits into your career path. You’ll dive into real-world scenarios, seeing firsthand how project managers communicate, plan, and guide teams toward a shared goal. This isn’t just passive learning—you’ll reflect on your problem-solving abilities and leadership style to identify where you naturally excel and where you want to grow. Your first deliverable is a self-assessment and reflection exercise that will help you gain clarity on your skills and aspirations. Project management is more than just a title—it’s a skill set that helps people lead teams, deliver results, and create order out of complexity. Whether you’re considering a career in project management or just want to develop these skills, this is your opportunity to take that first step. Let’s get started!

You got the job—now what? In Module 2, you’ll step into your role as Project Manager and tackle your first major responsibility: defining the project through a Project Charter. You’ll gather key information, clarify objectives, identify stakeholders, and outline the scope of Project Phoenix. But you won’t be doing this in isolation—you’ll review real stakeholder communications, analyze past project lessons, and make decisions just like a real project manager would. By the end of this module, you’ll have a well-structured Project Charter that sets the foundation for the work ahead. Get ready to take ownership and start shaping this project from the ground up!

Module 3: Planning the Steps to Success
第 3 单元•小时 后完成
单元详情
With the Project Charter in place, it’s time to figure out how the work will actually get done. In Module 3, you’ll move from high-level planning into structuring the project’s execution. You’ll start by breaking the project into manageable pieces using a Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), then identify task dependencies and map out the critical path to ensure everything runs smoothly. But project planning isn’t just about structure—it’s also about adaptability. You’ll explore hybrid project management, learning how to balance predictive planning with flexible iteration cycles. As the project moves forward, you’ll organize sprints, set release milestones, and define a roadmap that blends structured planning with real-world agility. By the end of this module, you’ll have a clear execution strategy that will guide Project Phoenix from concept to completion.
