The course was indeed helpful but did seem to be geared towards having some level of understanding of certain bash scripting functions. Overall a very good introduction.

The course is a good foundation to build upon. You need to have some understanding of terminal commands beforehand. Some of the topics aren't explained properly. But still considering it is not a course but a guided project I am happy with completing it. Accent might be a problem for some people. Also I had some problems with cloud workspace it was lagging very frequently.

Unfortunately, the access to the cloud desktop is severely limiting what makes the active hands-on learning impossible.
The reloadable text files of the lessons need editing badly. The point is in that the small letters on the lecturer screen are difficult to read while correct command spelling can not be found in the text files.

Visually, the resolution is at best is grainy and hard to see what's being typed by the instructor. This is compounded by a difficult accent (not a problem, just a condition) and the CC types what it thinks is being said and at critical points it will error on what was said because of the accent. It should have been scripted so what she says in what is posted. And finally, the first activity I entered my name as part of the command and then ran the shell which should have resulted in the system responding with both "Hello World" and my name. It did not, just the initial command line of "Hello World". So what do I do now? The instructor, because it is asynchronous just continued and there were no visible options to find out what I did wrong. This is how "online learning" creates more doubters than believers. DH
