Having sat through all the 6 courses of the Beethoven's Piano Sonatas, I feel truly grateful that I could gain so much knowledge about his music. Mr. Biss is a brilliant performer and lecturer, and the way he conveyed his passion and awe for Beethoven's all 32 sonatas was quite touching. I have grown musically through these 4-5 years and no wonder, Beethoven and this course is an integral part of it. It's a sad farewell! Long live Beethoven's music and his profound legacy! Thanks a lot Curtis Institute of Music and Mr. Biss!!

This series was incredible. I can't thank Jonathan Biss enough for bringing his insight, his playing, and his emotions to this course and the entire series of courses. In particular, his impasssioned discussion of Op. 111 made me deeply appreciate a sonata that I had formerly dismissed as too beyond me to understand.
