I'm really glad I took the course. It's been really helpful in making basic conversations although I hope there are more online courses about the Tenses and Honorifics for further understanding of the Korean language and structure. :)

I love this course the syllabus the content was very thoughtfully selected for the beginners in korean language it really helped me a lot and am now ready to complete the whole courses provided by yonsei university on korean language.

I am very grateful, because of this course I can learn Korean easily and well. not only reading and writing, but I was also sharpened to listen to conversations and correct pronunciation. thank you for Coursera and Yonsei University.

Very good course to start learning Korean from scratch. Keeps at a good pace and lectures are short and concise. Would recommend watching and following along multiple times if you don't get or remember certain chapters of the course.

I really like this course. I could learn basic words on this course. I could learn how to tell time and date. And how to ask the queation and answer the queations due to the course. i really want to thanks to the first step korean.

Excellent course for a beginner, easy to understand and very useful to get an idea on how does the korean grammar works. I really appreciate the work and effort of the teacher, she was very clear while explaining each and every unit.

I was learning korean about during 2 years. This course is so efficiently and helpfull for me. I will apply to KGSP in this February so I am very thankfull to Yonsei University. I will improve these knowledges and use in South Korea.

First Step Korean was a great introduction to reading, speaking and understanding some basic conversational essentials in Korean. Easy to follow. Clearly explained. Thoroughly enjoyable. Can't wait for Second Step Korean to come out!

Great Course! This is my first course in learning the Korean Language and it's very easy to understand and schedule freindly. The only thing I wish I did was have a friend learn along side with me so we can practice with each other!

It's very easy to understand and I didn't feel too burdened by the lectures so I could still finish my schoolwork while finishing here as well. I feel more motivated to learn Korean as the instructor is very nice and believes in me!

Loved this course. Everything was explained so well. The differences between korean and western culture was portrayed well. Overall an amazing course to start with. I can now read and write korean well and speak and write a lot too!
