Great course on consulting tips. I learned about how to do financial analysis for different companies, how to do self research, paid research on clients and competitors. How to do surveys and how do they help? How practical observations can be helpful to get new data. Importance of benchmarking and take insights from comparing those benchmark parameters.

Among all the courses I have taken on Coursera, this one has truly been the best. Without a doubt, the way you taught — especially your use of voice, communication skills, and body language — was outstanding. It kept me engaged and motivated to follow the lessons and apply them in practice. What I appreciated most was how natural and encouraging your teaching style felt. It didn’t just deliver knowledge, it inspired action. This course is not only informative but also empowering, and I believe it will stay with me for a long time. Thank you for creating such a valuable learning experience. Additionally, I believe the learning experience could be even more effective if the video lessons were produced in shorter segments — ideally no longer than ten minutes each. This would make them easier to follow, improve focus, and increase overall efficiency.

I have been really enjoying the Management Consulting Specialization series with Professor John Kim. Each of the courses has been full of great foundational concepts, frameworks, and guidance. All of the classes have been excellent, and I especially enjoyed Consulting Tools & Tips, where students had to apply the tools and strategies to get smart quickly on a company. Professor Kim does a fantastic job at offering grounding principles of practice, while also providing very concrete how-tos and resources that can accelerate your learning and sharpen your practice. I also appreciated the tailored guidance for new grads, internal manager consultants, and solo consultants. Highly recommend this course and series.
