I could not find it very useful because it missed out so many things a research has like data collection methods, and data analysis. also there should be some examples of researches from different fields for the concepts given in the course. like here about research question, there should have been some book or article or videos explaining how to form research questions by sharing experience of some experts from differnt fields

Except for the material prepared by Harvard about research methods I couldn't find anything attractive in this course. Unfortunately, instructors were not influential. They spoke with a very low tone and lacked enthusiasm. I remember one of them saying that they represent good researchers. What? Personally or professionally I don't know you, but by your speaking or enthusiasm you are not representing "good researchers".

The course could have been organized better. The tittle tells understanding the research methods and the instructors had hardly discussed any. The interview they take with other people could just be a supplementary videos and not the main course content itself. It was quite shocking to know to the entire content has just the interviewed opinions.

I found this course way too sketchy and lacking in information. The module on literature reviews was good, but other than that, the course was devoid of content and I do not feel like my knowledge of research methods has increased after completing the course.

To be completly honest, its a waste. Just a CV builder for bragging rights, but no actual content that helped me. Would have been nicer if they focoused on somehting other than just snipits of people taking about tiny areas of research all over the place.

It gave me some interesting ideas to consider but didn't delve into how to do any of them. For example we read three chapters about the importance of a organized, methodical literature review, but there wasn't anything on how to do it methodically.

the audio and the video do not line up. not to mention the audio sound like some one put it through a grinder before upload. was looking forward to it but you can't understand anything and the transcript is missing words so it too is useless

The course does not have a clear structure or structured lectures. The videos are of people giving their opinion of the topics and there are no definitive ways given. It just feels too unorganized and difficult to follow.

This is absolutely terrible. The readings are badly written sections of a book and the people interviewed (with the exception of Halperin) are spewing nothing but vague nebulous motherhood statements. Very disappointing.
