In my personal experience, I found the course to be somewhat lacking in depth. I had hoped to gain a more comprehensive understanding of either the fundamentals of AI in Marketing and Finance or practical applications thereof. The section on marketing, which included some introductory information on recommender systems, was enlightening.

However, I must express my disappointment with Week 3, specifically the segment on AI in Finance. The lecturer failed to cover a wide range of AI applications in finance and neglected to address essential fundamentals regarding the utilization of various AI methods in this field. Instead, a significant portion of the lectures was dedicated to describing financial terms.

Similarly, Week 4 did not provide me with substantial new knowledge. It remained on a superficial level. On a positive note, I did find the interviews with industry professionals engaging and informative.

I´m giving the lower rating overall for the specialization. I completed all the required material (including peer reviews) but was still not awarded the certifcates. I placed a lot of time and effort and this is very unfair.

Very high level (almost too high level) with use cases only covering big companies. Not enough practical. The Finance module however is way too technical compared to the rest of the course. I would not recommend doing this course.

Wow, banks use machine learning to spot fraudulent transactions. Really? Who knew? Actually, I think pretty much everybody. The course spent a lot of time on material that didn't add value. Why spend two lectures on financial ratios and then quiz the learner on those definitions? There are some useful learnings in this course, but you have to sit through too much content to find them. The content could be cut by 50-75% and provide the same amount of learning.

Content is ok. Presentation is more talking heads and is boring. Interviews are more interesting for their real-world examples. Slides for the modules often have different content than the presentation, e.g. some module 3 slides not covered in any presentation, and some are a repeat of slides in module 2. Content is 6 years old, which in a course on such a fast-moving technology is quite unacceptable.

Good for an overview, but not deep enought to understand how to apply it. This is because the algorthms aren't analyzed with enough depth and there are no real workflow of the ML process.

Mods 1, 3, and 4 were excellent. Module 2 was unnecessarily deep for my use case. A high-level review of ML for Finance would have been much more useful.

Excellent course, and I particularly enjoyed the interviews at the end, with participants discussing real life AI usage across industry. I strongly recommend this course. The one feedback I would give is around the Finance bit, first mentioning it was extremely formative and I loved it; the AI discussion though was missing (even acknowledged by the instructor) Would be great to add a video or two regarding a hands-on application of AI in the case discussed and some more use cases. But still, absolutely loved it.

I loved this course! Thanks for sharing important insights backed by real-world examples of how companies are using AI in Finance. I especially liked Prof. Roberts' ad-hoc style of instruction with a deep-dive into the company financials. I learnt more in this class than in my Accounting class during graduate studies.

I work in finance, but this course "opened my eyes" to a much broader range of applications of AI than I had considered before. I particularly found the interviews interesting, but all of the information presented was presented clearly with excellent examples to aid my understanding.

The course explain in a good way how ML and AI can be applied on Marketing and Finance. I will recommend to put more effort to explain on the finance section since almost all the videos were to explain the basics on finance.
