The content was great and I learned a lot. The peer review process was maddening because peers would open up and grade the original document rather than uploaded work or they would upload work of their own to be graded that had nothing to do with the content. There were two aspects of the course design that I was frustrated with. First, many of the links provided were non-functional. Second, this course was extremely text heavy and visually boring. For a course on accessibility, it really did not meet my neuro-divergent learning style which relies on visual cues to support audio and text.

I enjoyed learning and the assignments were in line with the subject matter. What was challenging are the peer review needs. It was not easy getting the assignments reviewed by people you don't know. It required persistence on my part to continue to post on the message boards for someone to help me out and I them. I actually reviewed more than the required number of assignments and I hope others will as well to help out.

This course provided a fantastic overview of the history of accessibility and practical exercises to put our learning into practice. The only reason I did not give it five stars is because some of the captions are inaccurate, and that's disappointing for a course on accessibility.

I started this course but did not complete it. I read the reviews about this course and decided not to continue because of the peer reviews. Seeing that someone was doing a peer review from 2 years ago does not sit will with me, and that the peer review process was not being done correctly. Because of this I am no longer upgrading my account to complete this course. I did find the information to be helpful and educational. I know some ASL and would like to become more fluent in it to be more conversational. Because of this course, I am also looking into learning braille. I look forward to where these 2 languages will take me in the future.
