I enjoyed working on the capstone project. I found it challenging and fun, I learn a lot while working on my project. I encourage everybody interested in game design in taking this specialization.

Very hands on and creative. Pushed my ideas to the paper and to develop further and better than I would ever without guidance. Thank you so much.

I had been wanting to take this specialisation course for over a year, but due to time constraints, I had to put it off. Finally, during my holidays, I was able to complete it, and I can confidently say that this was one of the best courses I’ve taken on Coursera. The learning path was well-structured and felt natural, with clear and easy-to-follow instructions. The course content was engaging and required students to have a strong passion for game design, as consistent practice was key to mastering the concepts. Having prior gaming experience was also a significant advantage, as it helped me better understand the mechanics and design principles discussed throughout the course. However, I did remove one star from my rating due to the peer grading system. Unfortunately, I was graded as "failed" three times during the course without any explanation or stated reason. I was also not given any useful feedback. This was frustrating and time wasting. I would strongly suggest moving to an AI-based grading system for all assignments to ensure consistency and fairness in evaluations.

Like all Coursera classes, your class experience is going to be largely based on who also happens to be taking the class at the same time as you. The videos are a couple years old now so there is no interaction with the professors who actually wrote the class. That being said, the content was still relevant and I really liked the materials provided. Some of the weeks, like the last week, seemed like kind of a throw away week as the assignment as already due.

The course give you good insights on how to develop your final GDD. However, Peer reviews for the non-graded weeks are usually late if you're speeding up a little. Actual final projects from other peers are usually of a good quality and a nice inspiration for your own work.

Excelent project to close up the specialization. I loved the constant feedback and refining of an idea through the whole course.
P.S: Had some problems with mi verification in the first week of the course, so I needed to retake that asignment; apart from that all perfect.

The course was nicely prepared and structured, in my opinion it lacked a bit of content compared to the rest of the specialization. But it's a good rounding up of everything we learned before.

Great course, but it has too much bot or empty submissions. It would be way better if Coursera will improve moderation process for this course.

It's a good course, it's direct to the point, with a good examples and cases from gaming industry

Amazing and beautiful experience. Although I would have liked it to be more demanding! :)

This course was mostly working on the same document, and refining it for six weeks. I kind of wanted a little more from the class beside extended peer review time. I thoroughly enjoyed the rest of the specialization's courses, but I didn't think this one was quite up to the same caliber.

Even though this course was supposed to be the culmination of the specialization, Coursera’s environment completely undermined it. Mainly for two reasons: 1) The AI consistently failed to grade assignments properly and moved to peer grading, which was disastrous by itself, explained further. I tried .pdf and .jpeg files, but all I was getting was an abstract error which didn't help me solve the problem. Sure, AI can't play prototypes, but at least it can give generous feedback on text, which is better than nothing. 2) The course itself was effectively dead — barely any active participants, which meant feedback (if any) was either heavily delayed or meaningless, like a lazy “ok” or “good.” This, I believe, was the worst option — I'd rather get AI generated feedback than nothing at all. Don’t get me wrong — the lecturers did a great job with the materials, and I completed all the assignments on my own and for myself, because I actually care. It just felt like the platform let the course down. Badly.

Barely any material given.
