Not appropriate for beginners. The stroke names on each new character is boring and unnecessary. The introduction of 2 and 3 word vocabulary is inappropriate as that is in the conversational courses.

It is very difficult to learn characters out of context. On the one hand, calligraphy is extremely nice and fun, but memorizing characters apart from sentences does not make sense.
