I have to start by saying how much I have learned from this course on HTML level, it got me hyped to learn more about the World Wide Web. Yet, I did find the pace of the course to be very fast. There is not much elaboration on the topics, and going through the codes in the videos as if we have them memorised already and not really going over them in a reading exercise. Also, The captions/subtitles are not synced, it's very frustrating for a Non Native English speaker to follow up. I feel that I had really high expectations for the course because it was by meta, but basically it's an introduction to their own softwares !

This, I regret to say, was a textbook example of how NOT to do a course. The basics of html are barely covered but then all of a sudden a lot of things that were not even mentioned (let alone explained) are called up in the CSS section - which in itself is just brushed past at the highest speed. You really need to know both html and CSS quite well before taking this course (which defeats the purpose... or at least half of it). On the plus side, the instructor is really lovely and very knowledgeable. The course design, however, could do with an overhaul.

The content was very basic with too high an emphasis on terms that are rarely if ever needed while actually working in the field. At the same time, some of the information (especially at the end) relied on jargon that was never explained, making it seem aimed at someone with more knowledge who rly wouldn't need the information in the course. Add that only the first few assignments were graded - the rest were grade-your-own - and completing it didn't prove much as far as coding ability or knowledge.

I recently took a course on "Introduction to Front-End Development", and it was quite disappointing. The content lacked depth and skipped over many important concepts. The instructor's explanations were unclear and rushed, making it hard to follow along. Overall, I didn't feel like I gained a solid understanding of HTML and CSS from this course.
